Ah, the 90's. The decade that brought us the Spice Girls, Jennifer Aniston's hair, Tamagotchis and Sea Monkeys. Yes, it was a great time and there were also some life changing movies. There were tear-jerkers, comedies and some jump out of your seat thrillers. Netflix is a treasure chest of binge-worthy TV shows and great movies. Sit back, relax and let us fill your calendar by showing you 90's movies you have to watch currently on Netflix.

Armageddon

Bruce Willis, Ben Affleck, and Liv Tyler deliver brilliant performances in this action-packed movie. When scientists discover an asteroid is on course to hit earth, NASA is left to save the world. They recruit Bruce Willis's team of misfit deep core diggers to embark on a journey they might never return from. There's also a "Papa don't preach" themed romance between Affleck and Tyler.

Forrest Gump

If you haven't seen Forrest Gump, then where have you been? It's one of the most famous tearjerkers of all time and Tom Hanks gives the performance of his career. With an IQ of 75, Forrest sees the world in his own unique way. Taking viewers back through poignant moments of his life, those around him see the value of strength, bravery, love and finding hope in the darkest of places.

Schindler's List

Steven Spielberg's masterpiece takes us back to Nazi Germany and the devastating effects of the Holocaust. It's based on the life of Oskar Schindler, a cruel businessman turned hero to the Jewish people. After witnessing their treatment by the Germans, he vows to save as many as he can. The all-star cast includes Ralph Fiennes and Liam Neeson. It's shot in black and white, which somehow makes the film more poignant.

Homeward Bound: The Incredible Journey

We're tearing up just thinking about this one. Animal lovers can't miss Homeward Bound and you're likely to be cuddling up with your cute kitten or pampered pooch while watching it. Shadow, Chance and Sassy are left behind when their owners move to San Francisco, but man's best friend won't forget them. The trio embarks on a journey full of danger to reunite with their owners.

Jurassic Park

There were three Jurassic Park movies made in the 90's, but nothing beats the first. It's another one of Spielberg's masterpieces and takes you to a dinosaur theme park. Scientists have cloned DNA of the prehistoric beasts and open a park for the public to witness history's greatest predators. What can go wrong, right? Everything...and it's great to watch the drama unfold. Definitely one for the whole family.

Pocahontas

Disney got it right with this beautiful movie. Pocahontas, a native American princess, falls for British traveler John Smith. She teaches him about the world, nature and most importantly how to love. It's a great movie with an impressive soundtrack to go with it. It's inspired by a true story and the princess's best friend Meeka, a raccoon, brings some great comedy.

The Sixth Sense

In the words of a young Haley Joel Osment: "I see dead people". It's one of the most famous movie lines of the 90's and it was even nominated for an Oscar. Bruce Willis plays a child psychologist trying to help a tortured young boy separate the living from the dead. It's full of suspense, intrigue and brilliant performances from Willis and Osment.
